Ashtalakshmi Temple

It is situated in the chennai’s beautiful beach elliot’s. Other than this temple, there is only one other temple to the goddess anywhere on the Indian coast - it is Mahalakshmi temple. situated in mumbai.

It has a beautiful off-white gopuram which was consecrated in the year 1976, It clearly reveals the work of Dravidian temple building, it is quite different from the South Indian temples gopuram.
